Celebrating 103 Years

So happy that my daughter, middle name Frances, has been entrusted with this fabulous pin. She's not old enough to love it but she's old enough to understand how precious it is, and that it should go in Mama's jewelry box for now.

When in doubt, say it in French

Look what I just found in a box! These little remembrances are such a thrill.

What more is there to say?

A Reflection

Sifting though my photos, looking for shots I took for this blog, I am stunned at how much life has transpired since Grandma Franny has been gone. A house, many foreign lands, and two stunning babies who are not really babies anymore. All of it she would have been thrilled to see, to hear about. I miss you, Gran Fran.

New Sewing Box

A new, professional-level tackle box for sew many (yes, I did that) sewing notions and tools. I can only think that Grandma Franny herself was smiling down on me when I found out I could get a free engraved nameplate for the lid (not pictured). If the first rule of Grandma Franny is organization, the second is surely personalization.

A Place for Everything and Everything in its Place

Even the garage--especially the garage!--can use the organizational inspiration of Grandma Franny.

A Legacy Continues

Our beloved CALJ, niece of Grandma Franny, made this stunning, flawless blanket for our new baby girl. And it's as soft and warm as it is beautiful.

I'm sure you will not be surprised to hear that my daughter's middle name is Frances!
